Yeats goes to primary school .
Since the opening of the Yeats Exhibition at the NLI I have taken my class there every year to view the exhibits and see the life of WB in real time artifacts . Before we made each visit we learnt four poems of his by heart and found the originals in his own handwriting . Following the visit each pupil penned an essay on our school Moodle site , “I am WB Yeats “. The children gave their parents the virtual tour available on the NLI site and some took the parents around the exhibition in person and gave the tour themselves using notes , when needed , or not . Overall , a great success, great fun , full of learning and adventure . When asked why ? he replied , “ why not ?“
